Pengwern Arms, Llan Ffestiniog

The old drovers inn, the Pengwern Arms Hotel is located in the village square of Llan Ffestiniog and the Grade II listed building dates back some 300 years.  From the inn the Moelwyn Bach, Moelwyn Mawr and Moel yr Hydd are easily accessible.

Like other pubs in the village the Pengwern Arms closed in February 2009 but fortunately shortly after a co-operative was formed with the intention of purchasing the now run down hostelry.  The prime intention was to reopen as a community pub and hence run democratically for the village.  The new co-operative, through securing grant funding, various donations and selling shares raised £185,000 to acquire the property.

Two years later, thanks to a team of volunteers the Pengwern Arms reopened.

Serving real ale from local breweries.

Live entertainment most weeks.
