Green Dragon, Y Trallwng

Yr unig dafarn ar ôl ar Mount Street, bu’n gweini’r gymuned am dros ganrif. Roedd stablau yn y cefn. Cafodd ei galw’n Top Hat am gyfnod byr yn y 1970au ond yna aeth yn ôl i’w hen enw.

Y tafarnwr trwyddedig ym 1986 oedd David Willis a Burtonwood Ales oedd piau hi.

Angel Tavern, Y Trallwng

Roedd yr adeilad ffrâm pren yn dyddio i’r 16eg ganrif a bu llawer o newidiadau yn y 18fed ganrif. Yn ystod y 19eg ganrif roedd yr Angel yn boblogaidd â’r dynion a fynychai’r martiau. Erbyn 1881nid tafarn oedd yr Angel. Crydd o’r enw Thomas I Williams oedd yn meddiannu’r lle.

The Radnorshire Arms, Beguildy

Located in the small village of Beguildy in the lovely Teme Valley.  The low beamed ceilings with wood burning stoves giving warmth and a sense of homeliness during the long Winter months

A dining pub located in the beautiful Brecon Beacons.  Near to the market towns of Brecon, Abergavenny and Crickhowell.  Prime location for country walks.
Real ale establishment using local well known Breweries – Wye Valley, Otley, Tomos Watkin, Waen and Monty’s.

Norton Manor Hotel

A lovely historical hotel located in rural Radnorshire, mid Wales.  Built in 1858 as a Manor House for Sir Richard Green-Price, 1st Baronet of Radnorshire.  Now a 12 en-suite hotel with lovely views of the surrounding countryside.
Convenient for local activities such as golf, horse riding and fishing.

Nantyffin Cider Mill

Originally a 16th century drovers’ inn situated between Crickhowell and Brecon.  Since 19th century renowned for its cider and more recently for the quality of food. 

The building was a working cider mill until the 1960s

Refurbished over the years to accommodate an expanding restaurant.

Wynnstay Arms, Llansilin

The only public house remaining open in the village of Llansilin which is close to the English border in Powys.  Originally called the Cross Foxes and built in 1784.  Located in the heart of the village by the church.  The licensee in the 1930s was Harry Morgan.

Wheelwrights, Erwood

Wheelwrights Arms, ErwoodWheelwrights Arms, ErwoodBuilt in the 16th century and frequented over the years by drovers on their frequent journeys to London. 

The Sarah Siddons, Brecon

The original name was the Shoulder of Mutton but later changed to the Sarah Siddons after the renowned Shakespearian actress of the 18th century.  She was born in a room above the pub in 1755

The pub sign is a replica detail of Sir Joshua Reynolds’ famous 1784 painting of Sarah.

Gremlin Hotel, Brecon

Brecon canal and theatre located close by.  Television set in the bar and can be watched from stools by the bar.

Unusual pub name and locals not sure how acquired name.
