Market Tavern, Aberdare
Submitted by PCE on
Formerly known as the Cowbridge and built during the 1850s.
Closed in 2010 but thankfully Rhondda Cynon Taf refurbished the Tavern to the tune of £73,000 as part of its regeneration project and the historic Grade II watering hole was reopened in 2012. Extensive interior and exterior work was carried out on the Hotel allowing the original features to remain intact. Interior work included replacing customer toilets, kitchen fittings and resurfacing rear yard of the Tavern.
