Submitted by PubsCymru on
The Tynewydd Inn dates back to the early 1800s when it was built by a Mr J. Thomas who farmed at Barry Island. Recently refurbished but still retaining some of its original features. Sofas and flat screened televisions offer a homely and casual experience to the visitor. Dividing walls within the pub offer quiet corners for a relaxing drink.
Brains Community Pub of the Year winner for 2008. A pub for all ages offering relaxation from busy everyday life.
Popular with local sporting clubs and hosts regular charity events throughout the year.
Believed to be haunted by a grey lady.
