Angel Inn, Cardigan
The Angel is a large and imposing building in St Mary Street. It was a former coaching inn which had ample stabling at the back. At one time part of the Angel was used as a Nonconformist meeting house. It was also used as the barracks for the local Militia and whilst the Public Buildings were being built it was also used as a grammar school.
The Angel was probably the second most important inn in Cardigan as it was also the posting house for the Royal Mail coach which travelled via Abergavenny, Llandovery and Carmarthen and connected with the London coach at Gloucester.
Recently refurbished with the ground floor consisting of an extensive bar area which includes a pool table.
Beer garden located at the rear.
