The Walpole Hotel, Llanhilleth
Submitted by PubsCymru on
The landlord of the Walpole in the 1930s was Bill Phillips. A popular character during the period was a guy called ‘one arm Jes’ who used to deliver bottles of beer etc on horse and cart around the houses.
Llanhilleth RFC took over the building on 19th December 1975 and opened its clubhouse.
