Lamb Inn, Cardigan

Located on Finch Square in Cardigan the inn is believed to have once been a hostel for pilgrims who visited the Shrine of Our Lady at the Priory Church.  The present distinctive black and white building dates from 1850 and stands on the edge of town.  Stone built with low wooden ceilings. 

Main bar leads to pool room which leads to further room with beer garden at the back.  Furnished with comfortable settles, wooden tables and chairs and one particular green chair belongs to one Dai Jerry. 

According to the census of 1871 the publican of the Lamb was Benjamin Lewis who was married to Catherine and had four children.  He was registered as a Waggoner and Publican.

With Mr and Mrs Whittle as landlords the Lamb Inn was refurbished in 1963.
