The Grapes, Maentwrog

The Grade II listed Grapes Hotel is located in Maentwrog in the Vale of Ffestiniog.  A former coaching inn which dates back to the 17^th century and is one of the oldest and most famous inns in Wales.  The Grapes is conveniently located in the heart of Snowdonia National Park.
Offering a fine selection of real ales. 
It is said that David Lloyd George (1863 – 1945), the former Prime Minister and Lillie Langtry (1853 – 1929) the famous actress had tea at the hotel though not together! 
The Grapes is reputedly haunted by two ghosts  - one of an old lady in Victorian clothing which has been seen below the stairs and the other of a piano player seen on the residential landing.
